Cllr Richard Wilson of Stroud Green ward has had a number of complaints about the corner of Stroud Green Road and Upper Tollington Park (outside the excellent Vagabond cafe), where rubbish keeps piling up around the large recycling bins.  Richard keeps reporting the problem, but every time he’s in the area it still looks the same (see photo taken yesterday).  The reoccurring problem seems to be caused by a combination of the recycling bins not being emptied enough, and local businesses dumping their rubbish there.

Richard has emailed and spoken to the extremely diligent ‘Neighbourhood Action Officer’ who has promised to monitor the area and try and sort the problem out.   However getting the bins emptied more often is proving tricky as that involves a different team within Haringey Council taking action.  Please get in touch with Cllr Wilson if the mess reoccurs and he’ll keep up the pressure to get this grot spot sorted.
